For a few days leading up to the beginning the new semester, I got to be a tourist in my own beautiful, chilly city. My friend Sedem from MHC popped into the Midwest before we both headed back to school. In addition to shoveling mass quantities of delicious Afghan food down our throats, we visited the frozen Minnehaha Falls, grabbed some tea and strolled down St. Anthony Main, saw the famed Spoonbridge and Cherry in the sculpture garden, wandered through Uptown, and conquered the mass consumerist hot spot also known as the Mall of America. Braving negative temperatures, our days, hearts, and tummies were full; our time was well spent!
