birthday | seventeen

Yesterday I celebrated my seventeen years in this world. It was an exceptionally hot Minnesota day, but filled with great things nonetheless!

Zoe and Sonja (a.k.a. "mini me") moved into the house across the street almost exactly seven years ago. I see now that Zoe (now 12) and Sonja (now 8) have grown up so much since I first met them. Smart, beautiful and playful girls they are, I am a proud neighbor, babysitter and friend. I invited them over last Saturday for a picnic and photo shoot. We wandered around the neighborhood looking for picturesque locations giggling like lunatics. 

Whether we're sitting at home playing Bananagrams, lying on the driveway in the empty spaces between our chalk masterpieces, or having dance parties to the newest NOW album--the three of us never fail to have a good time. This day was no exception!
